Aja Nikiya is a global humanitarian, award winning documentary film maker, photographer, public speaker and activist for animals and under served populations. She has bridged her expertise in international development, project management, marketing, disaster relief, climate justice and activism to help communities in extreme poverty develop sustainable solutions that preserve biodiversity and inspire global citizenship. Aja has a Masters in Global Sustainability from University of South Florida and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Leadership and Social Change at Antioch University. Her research interests include climate justice, Relational Cultural Theory- Ecology, Sustainable Leadership, Eco-Feminism, and the overlap of high biodiversity and poverty in developing countries. Aja is catalyst for change and a voice for the silenced.
Bold Journey: Meet Aja Nikiya
If there is one thing I have been sure of my entire life, it has been my purpose. Since I was a young child I have always had a love and appreciation for nature and animals. From there my love grew to disadvantaged, marginalized communities. Suffering has always affected me immensely and I will do what I can to put an end to it. No being should suffer, especially at the hands of humans. I know my purpose is to bring as much compassion as I can into the world and end the suffering of as many beings as possible.
